United States Marine Corps | 2007 - Present

Logistical Support Program Manager | 2014 - Present

  • Managed a team of 18 military and 35 civilian personnel in the execution of Integrated Logistical Support for the lifecycle sustainment of training materials and requirements needed to conduct training across 61 training facilities, measuring 3,375,844 square feet at 23 learning sites in support of 35 aircraft platforms and aviation related programs. Assets managed included: 662 electronic classrooms, 25,298 technical training equipment items valued around $1.1B, 13,222 Support equipment line items and training devices valued around $458M.
  • Managed three budgets; supplies account of $133K, travel budget of $199K, and contracting budget of $5.5M. Ensured judicious allocation of resources and budgetary control to ensure funds were utilized properly, and available to meet top proprieties.

Operations Officer | 2013 - 2014

  • Briefed the Commanding Officer daily on the status of operational planning, projects, future events, and logistical support issues up and down the flight line.
  • Developed MALS-11 Violence Prevention Program. Established mentored and trained a core team on warning signs and how generational differences and age gaps can change one's perspective of a situation. Enabled the command to identify potential warning signs, and provide immediate intervention, help and guidance. Closed out 27 inquiries and tracked eight active case files identifying trends and preventing further escalation.
  • Managed MALS-11 Suicide Prevention Program and sat as a member of the Force Preservation Council. Provided Commanding Officer a better capability to provide concerned, informed, involved, collaborative leadership in support of individual leaders and their Marines to identify and provide support to at-risk Marines.
  • Utilized Commander's Intent to direct the operational functions of MALS-11 comprised of a Headquarters Staff, Operations Department, Supply Department, Maintenance Department, and Ordnance Department totaling over 900 Marines and Sailors providing logistical support to the six flying squadrons and 141 aircraft assigned to Marine Aircraft Group-11.
  • Initiated and managed the coordination required to provide over 450 personnel and associated supply and maintenance logistical support for more than 27 detachments to Operation Enduring Freedom, Carrier Air Wings afloat, Unit Deployment Programs to the Western Pacific, Request for Forces by Regional Combatant Commanders, as well as squadron exercises within the continental United States. During peak operational tempo, more than 50% of the squadron's strength was either actively deployed, preparing to deploy, or re-deploying from worldwide locations.
  • Developed and Managed the monthly, quarterly and annual training Plan. Established and managed milestones to ensure the completion of over 3,970 ground training events were completed by the 970 Marines assigned to MALS-11.
  • Logistics War Room Lead. Coordinated the efforts of Naval Supply Activities, Defense Logistics Agency, Program Managers for two Type Model Series Aircraft and fleet logistics support experts to address logistics related readiness inhibitors. Forecasted future trends and resolved long-term downing discrepancies increasing flight line availability.

Aircraft Maintenance Officer | 2012 - 2013

  • Served as department head. Advised the Commanding Officer on all matters of aircraft maintenance, personnel issues and aviation logistics.
  • Directed the management and supervision of the Maintenance Department consisting of 336 Marines, 134 Sailors, and 125 Civilian contractors in the execution of aircraft maintenance.
  • Managed the maintenance and utilization of a fleet of 63 F/A-18 A-D aircraft with an average of 34-40 in reporting status daily. Planned, and forecasted maintenance requirements around operational commitments and flight schedules. Ensured adequate amount of aircraft, and back-ups, were properly configured to meet pilot training requirements.
  • Improved organizational climate and morale. Developed and led the "Committed and Engaged Leadership" effort within the maintenance department, restructuring the mentorship program into small unit leadership groups with specific mentorship goals and objectives; resulted in dramatic increase of unit pride, production and material condition of aircraft and equipment.
  • Restructured maintenance-training program and published monthly, quarterly and annual training plans. Guided work center supervisors on proper development of training plans. Designated specific times and dates every week where maintenance and flight operations were halted to ensure distractions were kept to a minimum, and supervisors were equipped with the proper time and atmosphere required to conduct their scheduled training requirements.

Production Lead | 2011 - 2012

  • Acted as advocate for Marine Corps production issues. Resurrected communication lines that had been closed due to poor relationships and high billet turnover between training agencies within the Navy and Marine Corps. These efforts opened future coordinating assessment efforts, which developed the initiatives within CNATT activities preparing them to meet Marine Corps Aviation Training Production requirements and are still producing positive results to this day.
  • Evaluated Marine Corps Aviation Training production requirements, analyzed throughput data, and aligned CNATT's production processes with the Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM) goals, ultimately eliminating bottlenecks causing backlogs of over 600 students throughout the pipeline.

Director of Training | 2010 - 2011

  • Managed the processing and training of over 5,000 Marine Corps initial accession students annually.
  • Provided data analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in support of Marine Corps training requirements. Analyzed training gaps within occupational fields, and coordinated the transfer actions required to reclassify students in accordance with the needs of the Marine Corps.
  • Led team of six training experts through a bottom-up-review of the Marines Awaiting Training program (MAT). Increased students taught by 25% and allowed additional training to 6000 Marines capturing more than 8,000 combat qualifications normally achieved at a higher level returning 100,000-man hours to the operational commanders.
  • Earned Combined Federal Campaign Chair Person's trophy and EscaRosa CFC developed a new achievement level of Platinum to exemplify the outstanding results achieved and leadership efforts. Achieved unprecedented record for monetary contributions during the 2010 Combined Federal Campaign totaling $62,561.96 representing a 278% increase of established goal of $22,500, which was based on a four-year average and current manning levels.

Executive Officer | 2009

  • Served as Executive Officer of Aviation Maintenance Squadron 2 (a battalion-sized squadron of over 1000 Marines). Forged superb liaison with Navy counterparts enabling USMC O-6 CO to achieve complex training goals.

Liaison Officer | 2008 - 2009

  • Served as the single point of contact for all Marine Corps issues regarding the day-to-day operation of the Mechanical Training Department and the Expeditionary Airfield Training School.

Polling and Assessments Officer | 2007 - 2008

  • Developed detailed information operations (IO) assessment plan and measured effectiveness used to prepare detailed driven briefs for the IO assessment team Command Staff and Commanding General of Multi National Forces-West (MNF-W) Al Anbar, Iraq.
  • Developed Polling plan and contract with GALLUP Polls to measure atmospherics within Al Anbar Iraq. The new Trend Surveys, Media Survey, Security and Transition Survey, Voting Focus Groups, Flash Polls for AO Denver, and Flash Polls for Hit provided strategic insight which proved the people are making positive improvements to their support of the Iraqi Security Forces, and Local and National Governments. This Voting Focus Group report was briefed all the way up to Ambassador Crocker.
