Position Description:

Coordinates and implements the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and end equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Ensures that scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment are completed accurately and on-time to ensure continuation of production operations in line with determined work priorities.
Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Implements preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
Requests tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations, also obtains quotes for projects and equipment.
Responsible that all emission control systems are working properly, and that all federal, state, and local documentation are being followed.
Implements training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Confers with management to resolve any personnel issues.
Assists in controlling costs in conjunction with departmental budgets.
Responsible to manage all employees assigned to his/her area of responsibility so the assets of the company are operated and cared for without abuse and unnecessary damage. This includes requiring people to check out, clean, inspect and report any problems with the equipment on a routine basis.
Monitors employee training, while suggesting needed changes to workers, and work procedures as needed.
Involved in Lean initiative that affect production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products.
Supervise and Motivate employees to achieve maintenance goals.
Responsible for plant personnel safety, and compliance with company policy. Conducting disciplinary actions as needed.

Requirements:
Company is looking for candidates with good Industrial Mechanical maintenance skills (to include hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and some basic industrial electrical skills) who aren’t afraid to occasionally operate equipment and who possess good leadership traits. Candidates with some experiences operating construction equipment, forklifts, cranes, trucks are ideal backgrounds. Most importantly, candidates must exhibit strong self-discipline, passion for work, loyalty, and high levels of teamwork and reliability. Specific requirements include:

Company is looking for experienced maintenance leaders with a strong background in mechanical maintenance (hydraulics and pneumatics) and some electrical (single phase and 3-phase AC, up to 450 V).

Requirements:
From a technical perspective, you must be able to demonstrate good electrical systems troubleshooting and repair skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of such electrical test equipment as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and clamp-on ammeters. You must have a demonstrated history of safe work practices and the ability to work with minimal direction. Be prepared to demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings for repair, installation and maintenance of complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment. Position Description: The Minnesota Ore Operations of the company includes two facilities that continuously mine and produce the essential raw material for the company’s steel plants. These are Union facilities and environments, so coming into the company as a Manager will be both challenging and rewarding. Unless you have steel industry manufacturing experience, you must be capable of moving into an environment where you have the least product knowledge and industry experience yet are the responsible leader who must create team cohesion and produce quality results. These positions are about guiding a group of experienced steel workers along the path to high productivity and excellence, while mastering the overall aspects of the steel business at the front-line supervision level. Due to the nature of the business, the facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. This position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown & any unplanned outages.
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for all the maintenance activities in your assigned Division. These are front-line leadership roles positions in which you will supervise, schedule, direct and motivate Maintenance personnel for production. You will be responsible for overseeing all the maintenance programs associated with all maintenance operations. Primarily you will be responsible for applying maintenance leadership and principles, troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to evaluate and make decisions that resolve operational, production, or maintenance conditions and improve reliability. You will supervise, direct, and coordinate efforts of experienced operators, associates, technicians, craftsmen to repair and maintain equipment, to maximize operating efficiencies, and to improve reliability. This position is in the Mobile Equipment Shop, which is responsible for the complete upkeep, service, and repair of all Mobile Equipment mining equipment, which includes large ton trucks, dozers, loaders, and all mobile support equipment for mining and production operations. The Mobile Equipment shop has 4 Maintenance Supervisors who rotate leadership responsibilities for shifts and crews. You will supervise 10-15 maintenance professionals on a rotating crew. This position is ideal for candidates with maintenance leadership experience in automotive or diesel shops or in military motor pools, mechanized divisions/units, or flightline maintenance operations.


Requirements: Candidates must have a H.S. diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience leading work crews in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment; and outstanding leadership. Candidates must have good general mechanical maintenance knowledge and ideally some experience fixing automotive/industrial equipment systems. Candidates should have the ability to demonstrate some knowledge/experience in managing Maintenance Programs (planned/preventative/emergency). This is a very industrial, blue-collar environment that requires a keen eye for safety & being comfortable “rolling your sleeves up” & leading credibly from the floor. Candidates must pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug test as the company has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol for safe steelmaking operations.

• Location: Pueblo, CO
• Schedule: You will work a rotating 12-hr, 2-2-3 schedule (2-days on, 2-days off, 3-days on, 2-days off, 2-days on, 3-days off). This schedule allows for 7 days off every two weeks (including a 3-day weekend every other week) and built-in overtime. You will work two weeks on days then rotate to two weeks of nights (rotation day is on Monday after your long weekend off).
• Compensation: These are Union roles, so pay rates are set based on your experience and assessments. Base hourly rates are $30.35/hr - $35.71/hr + shift premium for night shift.

Position Description: Mill Electrical Technician
In this role you will provide all necessary electrical, electronic and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the Mill in a safe and efficient manner. In order to be successful in this role, you should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic and/or instrumentation equipment and systems. This position reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance. Some specific responsibilities include:
• Serve the function(s) of a Combustion-Instrumentation Technician, Electronic Repairman and/or Electrical Inspector (Maintenance Electrician) depending upon training and certification.
• Complete the RMSM training program to become skilled in all three of the crafts mentioned above.
• Troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, assemble and install a variety of equipment throughout the mill.
