Title: Controls Field Service Technician
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL
Shift: Open schedule based on travel / Projects; Typical day work with on call for nights. Average 50-55hrs week; Potential Hybrid schedule when not travelling.
Compensation: $37-43+/hr (based on experience) + Credit Card + Travel incentives ($50 a day M-F; $100/ day Weekends; $150/day weekends international travel [even if off that day]) + Annual incentive bonus

Travel: 75%. Travel nationally and internationally; Range for period of project – few days to a few weeks; All travel expenses covered
Position Description:
The Controls Field Service Technician repairs and services equipment and machinery at customer facilities for both warranty and non-warranty issues. They are responsible for providing information to create service quotations; processes service orders for customers; executes service contracts to completion; site manages longer term service contracts; main service contact for strategic customer accounts. The CFST troubleshoots, upgrade and debugs PLC and HMIs.
Requirements:
Candidates for this role must be willing to travel and have or able to obtain a passport. Candidates should have a strong mechanical and electrical background. They should have three to six years of experience in a mechanical/ electrical environment with a proficiency in Rockwell PLCs, HMI’s and servo controls. Candidates need to have a welcoming personality as they will be customer facing. They must be able to read drawings, reference manuals, and assembly systems instruction guides. If candidates have experience in automation and vision controls, that is a big plus.
