Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Field Service Technician position with the national leader in industrial vapor and emissions control.

Position Details
Location: Richmond, VA
Compensation: $35-$40/hr +OT (average of 5 hours of OT per week)
• First Year W2 ~ $75K-$90K, plus per diem
• Bonuses/Additional Compensation – Quarterly bonus up to 6%, Daily per diem while traveling, expenses/hotel covered, Company laptop and phone, Company vehicle
Shift: M-F, Traditional day shift. Some non-traditional hours may be necessary.
Travel: 60% Travel, primarily in state/region with ~3-4 overnights/week expected.

Position Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will install, commission, maintain, and provide training for various types of gas and oil production and processing equipment, including vapor recovery units, other rotary equipment, and ECDs & Burner Management systems. You will be responsible for assisting in aftermarket service sales and will have a key role in identifying new business. You will also support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.

Position Requirements
• Experience in instrumentation, controls, and electrical field work.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding.
• Customer Service and Interfacing is always important, proven sales and service experience.
• Strong preference for prior Terminal/Oil & Gas or related degree/industry experience.
• Ideal candidate understands the installation and repair of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components on combustor packages, vapor recovery units, compression units, generator units, pump units, ignition systems and air fuel ration systems.
• Experience/Familiarity with:
o Troubleshooting of electrical control panels, generator control panels, generators, and switchgears.
o Inspecting existing control panels to ensure proper function and application.
o Installation and startup of equipment.
