Description

Position Details:
• Title: Quality Supervisor
• Location: North Haven, CT
• Shift: Mon- Fri, 6am to 2pm or 7am to 3pm
• Compensation: $75k – 100k

Position Description:
• Evaluate company manufacturing process control and assess overall quality levels
• Develop standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Set up and interpret Pareto analysis of incoming, in-process and final inspection results
• Monitor incoming inspection results and prepare M.R.B. data and disposition for incoming and in-house product
• Facilitate improvement efforts in North Haven Inspection department
• Facilitate company and supplier pre-production process
• Prepare and carry out scrap reduction evaluations
• Train or assist new or inexperienced employees in gage techniques. Assist in metrology laboratory with preparation of gage inspection instruction sheets
• Maintain inspection records, complete forms and document inspection as required to maintain ISO certification using all application Company Procedures and Work Instructions
• Perform in-process audits for assembly and manufacturing departments
• Issue in-process audit reports and contribute to corrective action/continuous improvement

Requirements:
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical technology involving skills plus application of basic theory
• 3-5 years of experience
• Education equivalent to high school plus additional broad specialized training equal to 2 years of college
• Physical requirements include: ability to move, lift, and transport items at minimum of 20 lbs, operate computer/office productivity machinery a minimum of 6 hours per day, detect and correct errors or paper/screens, ability to move throughout the facility and office areas to access file cabinets, office equipment, plant machinery and other offices as needed, and must be able to travel when required
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or willingness to learn and participate in Lean Manufacturing processes or activities
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
