Position Description
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will assist the Branch Manager to ensure efficient operations and optimal customer satisfaction to maintain profitability. You will be responsible for personnel management, standards and expectations, training, and other applicable matters. You will be required to maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. You will oversee general compliance and adherence to policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, including HACCP and OSHA, security, inventory, and accountability. You will set an operational mission for the branch and follow up with employees to monitor activities and achieve the goals and standards set forth. You will also assist with the mentorship, coaching, and development of Department Managers, annual performance reviews, promotions, and other applicable actions. You will maintain communication with corporate partners, and ensure all reports or paperwork is completed and processed in an accurate and timely manner. You may be assigned special projects or responsibilities as needed.

Position Requirements
• 4 years’ experience in management and operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse, retail, or mass merchandising beneficial.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.
• Understanding of profit/loss, inventory control, hiring/training, payroll, security/loss prevention.

Maintenance and Repair Specialist II

Job Description

Position Details:
• Title: Maintenance & Repair Specialist
• Location: Memphis, TN (Marian, AR)
• Shift: Mon – Fri 7am-4pm with some OT as needed
• Travel: None
• Compensation: $60-65k/yr (non-exempt) depending on chassis experience

Position Description:
• Inspect chassis, write work orders at specified Marian locations.
• Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis for same specified locations.
• Monitor and control OOS equipment levels to include Repair Estimate Approval and Repair Limit Compliance.
• Regular communications with logistics department with regards to equipment requirements.
• Update chassis OOS status and notes as needed in M&R System.
• Conduct daily visits to specified local CY’s and Railyards to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed, and that Company Policies are enforced. Provide detailed written reports of any problems to the Southeast Manager.
• Ensure company inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors and adhered to on all equipment repairs.
• Assist locations in continuously investigating ways and means to reduce overall M&R costs while
ensuring service levels are not compromised. y
• Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of company owned parts.
• Conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations
• Monitor and release any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified of.
• Review M&R system reports as needed, vendor report card, duplicate code and duplicate work order reports.
• Generate information for third party billing/damage recovery at all locations.
• Work with the logistics team to ensure proper inventory levels are kept in locations.
Requirements:
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with chassis or trailer repair is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Must be able to small/minor repairs on chassis equipment.
• FMCSA license is not required, but it is a huge plus!
• Interface credibly with vendors and terminal personnel.
• Must pass a federal background check, drug screening (including CBD), and have a clean driving record
• Company Cannot take applicants currently working at CMC or Southern Intermodal.

Position Description:
The Chassis Mechanic will perform mechanical repairs and inspections at railroad ramps. The employee will perform all types of chassis repairs including brakes and wheel end repairs, welding, cutting with a torch and repairing and replacing parts on the chassis using standard repair tools. Repairs will be performed to FMCSA standards and completed based on written estimates.
• Troubleshoot and repair all chassis defects
o Including ABS systems; air brake systems, wheels end, safety latches, and structural assemblies
• Some welding and fabrication of chassis
• Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs

Requirements:
• Experience in trailer/chassis mechanics, usage and customary repair methods preferred
• Candidates with a diesel or auto mechanic background will be strongly considered as well
• FMCSA and brake certifications required
• Knowledge in welding MIG and/or ARC welding, torch use is a plus, but not required
• Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving history and able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening (including CBD).
