What You'll Do

Field Service Representative(s) will be primarily responsible for providing Level 2 technical support to customers and third-party Level 1 support vendors, along with managing and maintaining the relationship with the customers on behalf of the company.

You will specifically:
  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction by troubleshooting, installation, validation, maintenance and service repair needs on pharmacy automated equipment.
  • Perform 2nd Level hardware preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as some software maintenance.
  • Schedule 1st Level (3rd party) resources, including preventative maintenance and service calls.
  • Monitor and support 1st Level (3rd party) resources to complete emergency break fix service calls.
  • Support the facility group with any enhancements or upgrades that may impact the operation of the company system by providing information and technical knowledge for a successful implementation.
  • Work with the facility (customer) to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Provide a summary of work performed at the frequency and detail required by the facility to document the servicing of the system.
  • Preplanned service calls outside of normal business hours may be required to accommodate user schedules, ex: preventative maintenance may be conducted during the evening. In order to be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years’ experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Electronic / Electrical and computerized electro-mechanical systems such as robotics, conveyors, sensors and PLCs (specifically RS Logic).

Must-Have Skills, and Experience:

  • A good mechanical aptitude is desired, as is some level of expertise with computers (software, remote diagnostics, windows-based networking etc).
  • Must be service-minded and customer-focused.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will lead our US R&D and Product Development programs for low-voltage switchgear to support both our datacentre and switchgear product portfolios.

This strategic role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring design for manufacturability (DFM), and delivering high-performing, scalable products that meet evolving customer and industry demands.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Engineering Management Team (SMT), shaping CEL’s technical roadmap and ensuring alignment with commercial and operational goals. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in electrical and mechanical product development and electrical systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Define and execute the US R&D and Product Development strategy to align with our growth objectives.
  • Lead a high-performing engineering team across multiple disciplines (electrical, mechanical, controls).
  • Collaborate with peer teams across the business to ensure seamless product lifecycle management.

Product Development:

  • Own the end-to-end R&D / Product Development process from concept to launch.
  • Utilize FOK methodology to ensure the proposed design meets production Takt Time, Quality and Technical specifications.

Collaboration & Integration:

  • Work closely with our Irish teams to standardize processes and develop a unified One-CEL approach.
  • Support the business to align engineering outputs with customer projects, supply chain, production and project management capabilities.

Compliance & Quality:

  • Ensure all designs comply with customer requirements, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion Quality Assurance throughout the design, development and implementation phases.
  • Assume full responsibility and a committed focus on delivering ‘Best-in-Class' products for customers.
  • Streamline engineering systems, optimise workflows to reduce waste and improve throughput.
