Position Description:

• Review fabrication drawings, manufacturing standards and witnesses testing of Boilers and Pressure Vessels.
• Document and monitor the Quality Control System through ASME review and verification process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, National Board Inspection Code and Jurisdictional requirements for fabrication and Repair and Alteration activities and authorized inspection services.
• Certify products based on ASME Code requirements or submits recommendations for corrective action to ensure compliance with Code and Jurisdictional requirements.
Prior to becoming an Authorized Inspector, you will need to complete a training period that includes attending a 3-week-long virtual American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions school.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and equivalent experience as a Navy Nuke.
