Export Traffic Coordinator 1st Shift

An hourly office position with the primary responsibilities of ensuring timely delivery of all outbound freight via the most economical means. The Export Traffic Coordinator is responsible for delivery of product to the intended destination and maintains conformity to requirements. Also, this position is required to select appropriate equipment to ensure safe handling, storage, and protection of product. This position will work with the Customer Service Liaison to meet the delivery requirements of our customers. As a logistics professional, the Export Traffic Coordinator is an influencer, who provides qualitative feedback and quantitative data to his/her internal customers enabling them to make real-time process improvements toward the goal of 100% On-Time Delivery at the lowest landed cost. Principal Accountabilities

The Pan Welder will be responsible to perform high quality leak free welds using a variety of welding techniques. As a senior mechanic, The Mechanic I is an influencer, who leads junior mechanics or teams as assigned and demonstrates BAC's values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation.. The Mechanic I will also be required to train and mentor junior mechanics and assist the department leadership team with daily assignments as directed. As a senior mechanic, the Manufacturing Engineer Technician will be capable of completing projects requiring a multi-disciplinary skillset, minimal supervision, while being self-motivated to work with others and deliver measurable results.   • Support project plans for Safety, Quality, and/or Production with a primary focus on cost out savings related to Material, Labor, and/or Overhead (M, L, OH).
  • Participate in Lean Events such as SMED, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen as requested, including process time studies and data analysis.
  • Work in small teams to execute improvement projects driven by the Regional Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and/or the Plant Leadership team. This includes troubleshooting, fabricating, installing, and documenting.

The position serves in a support role to the Milford Plant Continuous Improvement Team. The Technician will report on a direct basis to the Plant C.I. Manager. This role may require up to 20% travel.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience as a technician or mechanic preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred.
  • Ability to read, follow, and execute plans through CAD drawings or OEM instructions. Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, Vault and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Practical 2D/3D modeling experience.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills preferred. This includes the ability to create and manipulate excel spreadsheets, presentations, and metrics.
  • Demonstrated computer competency. Knowledge/experience accessing BAC systems such as Sharepoint, Onedrive, PPD and SAP.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated competent writing skills including the ability to document a process in a logical and coherent manner. Ability to communicate to supervisors and co-workers with written memos or email that are professional, concise, and clearly understood.
