Position Description:
The Senior Control Valve Mechanic is a skilled tradesperson who works onsite in their client factories and power plants. She/He is responsible for the maintenance, enhancements, and repair of complex control valves that are installed and in operation within a customer facility. She/He will interact regularly with customers and co-workers, thus strong people skills and the ability to be a clear communicator are required.
• Provide client-site field services for control systems, control valves, instrumentation, on-off valves, actuators, and regulators at customer sites, power plants, or in the company’s repair facility. Assist in providing Installed Base Services for Emerson and other manufacturers at customer sites, or in the company facility.
• Perform the company Valve Automation and Distribution Center work including the assembly, modification, calibration, and testing of control valves, automated on-off valves, and regulators as required.
• Complete on-site troubleshooting and/or remote diagnostics of valves and instrumentation using ValveLink or AMS diagnostic software tools to determine the overall health of the equipment when required.
• Repair, rebuild. or replace malfunctioning control system components per factory specifications as required.

• Installation, checkout, and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment.
• Perform PMs on production equipment and determine through these regular inspections, the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent failure of production equipment.
• Complete required documentation of PM's and other repairs on time and accurately.
• Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot production equipment/process to make repairs and improvement and minimize downtime.
• Establish communication, upload, and download PLC programs, troubleshoot using ladder logic.
• Develop and implement safety related improvements jointly with your supervisor. Maintain safety related guards and other systems on your equipment. Review and implement corrections to Lockout/Tagout procedures and drawings as required.
• Complete all required training on time including any TPC, safety, GMP, or CAPA related training as assigned.
• Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOP's and plant policies/rules.

Requirements:
• Must be able to use tools such as, but not limited to, voltage and amperage meters, oscilloscope, megger, hand tools, welders, sheet metal equipment, measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, and PLC's and associated software.
• Minimum 2 years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience OR completion of two-year applicable technical school and three years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience.
• Must have a very strong electrical skillset, with the ability to read and translate schematics.

Titles: Auto/Diesel Maintenance Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: The plant runs 12-hour days and 12-hour night schedule Monday – Saturday, off Sunday. You will work days for 3-months then nights for 3-months on rotation. When fully staffed the plant will shift to a 5am-1pm / 1pm-9pm / 9pm-5am shift schedule.
Compensation: Compensation packages and starting wages vary widely, but it is well-known that careers in the
steel industry yield VERY LARGE W-2s, primarily because of overtime opportunities, company contributions, etc. You can expect your initial starting base to be around $70K annually with your FIRST YEAR total W-2 to be into the $100K range. The average steelworker makes $133K yearly. Your total pay includes your base hourly rate + OT paid out after 8-hours worked daily + shift differential + quarterly + annual target bonuses with multipliers (typically half paid out quarterly, the balance paid annually)

Position Description: The Oilwell Services and Offshore Operations of the company are Union facilities and environments, so coming into the company as a maintenance professional will be both challenging and rewarding. Unless you have steel industry manufacturing experience, you must be capable of moving into an environment where you have the least product knowledge and industry experience yet are the responsible maintenance technician who must produce quality results to keep production rolling. Therefore, this position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown and any unplanned/unforeseen outages.


As a Auto/Deisel Maintenance Mechanic you will have the following responsibilities:
• Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and reassemble vehicles, machinery, & equipment for operation.
• Failure analysis, service, and repairs for customers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, air conditioning, and emissions systems issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance – changing oil, checking batteries, lubrication, etc.
• Repair diesel trucks – engines, alignments, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, etc. for proper, safe, & optimal operation.


Requirements: Candidates must have a high-school diploma or GED. Candidates must have good, safe troubleshooting skills and experience on heavy vehicular systems & equipment. Candidates must have the maintenance experience outlined in the position description above in the military, or in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates must have outstanding safety record and good general understanding of maintenance operations. This is a very industrial, blue-collar environment that requires a keen eye for safety.
