Job Description:

The FSO (Field Service Organization) is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of highly technical communications systems at customer locations.   • The Field Service Technician is responsible for post-sale installation, optimization, maintenance and management of highly technical communication systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience with Motorola Astro P25 Communications Systems, VHF, UHF, 700/800 Public Radio systems and 911/ECW/Airbus equipment
  • Associates Degree or EET, Technical Certified, Project Management, IT Certified OR Military Technical Certified
  • Experience with one or more of the following: P25 radio systems, NICE public safety loggers, LMR RF systems, wired/wireless communication systems, networking equipment, IT networks.
  • Very strong knowledge of wired/wireless communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), must be proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance, NICE public safety loggers, systems to include cabling, channel banks, hubs, routers, switches, and bridges.

The Lead SOC Analyst is a senior level position within the security operations center. The SOC Lead provides leadership and mentorship to a team of security analysts delivering best in class security monitoring for our customers as part of Motorola Solutions Cyber Security operations.

The SOC Lead develops, maintains, and implements relevant policies and procedures to protect the security and privacy of information from intentional or unintentional damage. The Lead SOC will be responsible for working with stakeholders to provide direction and process implementation for products and technology needs in the Security Operations team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance & Security Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance and security of our cloud platform and products, as well as leading our organization through the process of maturity and compliance to security frameworks. You will also collaborate with our Data Privacy teams to maintain compliance with data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the NIST Cybersecurity framework with compliance to industry best practices including OWASP, CIS, DoD, etc.
  • Ensure the building of product security into the cloud platform, including secure architecture, secure design, secure coding, and vulnerability management practices.
  • Engage with Product Managers and Engineering Teams to understand product functionality and processes, and drive the implementation of methods and technologies in compliance with NIST 800-53 family of controls.
  • Perform gap analysis and risk assessments, collaborating with Product Management and Risk Owners to prioritize relevant security and compliance content for their teams.
  • Lead products through the process of maturity and compliance to security frameworks such as ISO 2700x, FedRAMP, CJIS, Canada CCCS, Australia IRAP, etc.
  • Interpret controls and policies, drive compliance processes and procedures, and represent the organization in internal and external audits.
  • Maintain relevant documentation (policies, procedures) and required evidence repositories, asset registers, risk registers, business continuity plans, and participate in site-level management reviews.
  • Collaborate with MSI's Data Privacy teams for ongoing data privacy assessments and maintain data privacy artifacts for the portfolio of products every release.


Requirements:

  • Experience with US security policies, frameworks, and standards such as CJIS, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Proven track record of implementing NIST 800-53 cybersecurity framework controls.
  • Prior experience in transforming security controls into product security specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Lead System Technologist (ST) on large projects or system upgrades, capable of directing self and other assigned project STs and able to mentor less experienced STs.
  • Post-sale implementation of voice and data communications systems.
  • Performs specific system configuration, programming, optimization, testing, and documentation tasks.
  • Works with other STs, Tech Support, Product Groups, and/or others in the characterization of system defects during system implementation and, on occasion, during the maintenance phase.
  • Team with engineering, project management and sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Responsibilities include the optimization, support, maintenance, testing and documentation of complex communications systems.
  • Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
  • Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.



Preferred Skills:

  • Total familiarity with the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Unique combinations of both strong multi-site RF communications systems and computer/networking skills are required
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate high-level systems expertise and have a minimum of 6 years of related experience with the following equipment:
    • Motorola Base Stations (STR series, GTR series, Quantar, etc.)
    • Centracom Consoles (Gold Elite, MCC7500, MCC7100)
    • Channel Banks and T1 Circuits
    • Computer IP Networks and Configuration
