Job Description

What You'll Do

As a Business Development Representative, you will work with Orion's Senior Sales Executives calling new leads and prospective customers. The Business Development Representative is meant to serve as a developmental role towards an Account Executive position. Orion will provide you with sales training and recruiting industry training to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed in this role. You'll report to either the Regional Sales Manager or National Business Development Account Executive.

Who You Are

  • You're a hard charger. You'll call assigned leads with a goal of reaching 50+ leads per day. This could be cold calls into accounts we are currently doing business with or existing customers.
  • You're an opportunity-finder. You'll determine opportunities for our different lines of service by asking a series of questions. A script and role play for each industry will be provided to you.
  • You're a team player. You're an integral part of the sales team. You'll qualify points of contact and set appointments for Account Executives, as well as reach out to prescreened candidates and set up informational calls regarding job opportunities.
  • You're detail oriented. You'll prepare summary of successful engagements with detailed notes, update records, and prepare call plans with Marketing. You'll send collateral and relevant information to clients after calls via email, to include fee agreements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or cold calling
  • Fierce and competitive spirit

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree
  • Prior military or military spouse
  • Completed MILSPO business development training course
