Locations: Detroit, MI & Boston, MA
Shift/Travel: Monday through Friday – Dayshift – travel 4 overnights a week – passport required – travel will be to Germany and possibly Canada, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic
• Any place over 7 hours away, you will book a flight
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 Base Salary – no OT – hours can vary weekly – can possibly get a comp day for weeks you work more than 40 hours.

Training: Training will take place in Kennesaw, GA – will be combination of in class and OJT training with another Field Service Engineer
Position Description: The company’s primary goal is to support its customers and their testing objectives. They support applications across numerous markets with a wide range of capabilities, grips, fixtures, and unique tooling that can be tailored to meet specific testing requirements.
As Field Service Engineer you will report directly to the Service Manager and provide technical support for company material testing machines. This position directly interfaces with customers by installing, Servicing, and repairing simple and specialized company systems. Examples include but are not limited to: Automation, Robotest systems, Programming Auto Edition, Dropweight towers, Complex Medical equipment i.e., Catheter systems, Auto-Injectors, Torsion systems, and Temperature Chambers. Field Service Engineers calibrate equipment to relevant standards and procedures, train all current test methods, evaluate the result of the reasonableness test and train customers on the operation and software of company machines. The Field Service Engineer will also work on project management, serve as leadership on relocation jobs and large Installation, prepare written reports of calibration results according to ISO/IEC 17025 and support customers and other personnel with technical advice when required. Troubleshooting electronic & electromechanical devices from schematics and mechanical drawings is expected.
Requirements/ Relevant Experience:
• 4 + years troubleshooting high voltage electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, material testing
• Technical metrology or prior calibration experience is preferred. Experience with universal destructive testing machines and extensometers is also preferred but not required.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline
• Veteran Profile: Nuclear MM, Nuclear ET, Nuclear EM, or Aircraft
