Position Description:
The Field Service Technician performs and carries out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing company products. They provide customers with prompt, professional, and high-quality service. Work is performed at their location and/or at their customer sites. Services provided may be scheduled or on demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.
• Performs startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all company Products at customer sites; Represent company professionally and courteously following all company and customer safety requirements.
• Installing, configuring, calibrating, and maintaining control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital); Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections; Understanding controls narratives and analyzing/troubleshooting process application-related issues.
• Analyzing and correcting communication issues; Properly addressing TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
• Perform repairs and assembly on company Products; Disassemble; assess the damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with company machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrate the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure; Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit.
• Read, understand, and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly, and repairs on company Products.
• Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service calls and at completion.
• Evaluate customer's future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels.
• Assist engineering in plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis.
• Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirements, service schedule requirements, and time efficiency utilizing the Concur booking tool.
• Complete job-related service reports, expense reports, and forms on a timely basis; Collect data and make commissioning graphs using Company Software.
• Complete written repair reports to document the cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, and condition of equipment as received and as returned to the customer.
• Conduct customer training on company Products when onsite.
• Perform all work per quality standards, establish safety procedures, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

• Participate in departmental initiatives such as, but not limited to, inventory counts, shop organization, clean-up, and other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements:
• A High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED)
• Electrical and / or electronic education/experience with wiring, electric motors, variable frequency drives and / or control panels experience is a must
• Experience with rotating equipment
• Must be able to read electrical schematics and have experience with 3-phase industrial power
• Ideal Military ratings include Electrical, Machinist’s Mates, EN, Aviation mechs and electrical, GSE and GSM, Ground Support, and power distribution techs.

FANUC robotics experience preferred. Should live within 1 hour of a major airport. The company places a strong emphasis on candidates who have a personality customer focused and can seamlessly integrate into the role and contribute immediately. Should be able to troubleshoot 480v, and 24v circuits. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, or one of the following:

High School Diploma (or GED) with 5+ years equivalent industry experience; maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.

Position Description:

The Integration and Field Technician C duties include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the worldwide integration and field testing and evaluation of Satellite tracking ground station equipment and components for both Factory and on-site Acceptance Test Procedures which are a part of new and performed Preventative maintenance systems sustained by Company for designated customers.
• Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory operations.
• Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with the documentation provided.
• Perform benchtop RF testing with only the guidance of a test procedure and understand what the procedure is testing.
• Understanding of Analog/digital Electronics and microprocessor-based control systems
• Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and RF troubleshooting as required.
• Provide documentation support, such as minor edits to existing procedures and/or technical drawings.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management.
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes

Requirements:
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either Electronics Maintenance or RF Systems Maintenance (Either skillset qualifies, having both skillsets is preferred).
• Relevant Electronics Maintenance experience is skilled in AC and DC electronics, skilled in Analog and Digital electronics theory of operation, and ability to troubleshoot to component level using schematics, oscilloscopes, DMV, signal generators, etc.
• Relevant RF Systems experience are skilled in the theory of operation and troubleshooting of RF electronics for transmit and receive satellite tracking ground stations using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
• Skilled in theory of operation for microprocessor-based control systems, servo control systems or RF electronics as mentioned above.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Must be a US citizen or have a green card or work permit.
• Ability to travel worldwide 40% of the year for approximately 8-week intervals. Able to work solo both in-house and in the field with minimum supervision.

• Schedule 1st Level (3rd party) resources, including preventative maintenance and service calls.

• Support the facility group with any enhancements or upgrades that may impact the operation of the company system by providing information and technical knowledge for a successful implementation.
• Work with the facility (customer) to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Provide a summary of work performed at the frequency and detail required by the facility to document the servicing of the system.
• Preplanned service calls outside of normal business hours may be required to accommodate user schedules, ex: preventative maintenance may be conducted during the evening.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years’ experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Electronic / Electrical and computerized electro-mechanical systems. A good mechanical aptitude is desired, as is some level of expertise with computers (software, remote diagnostics, windows-based networking etc). Experience and knowledge of troubleshooting robotics and/or automated systems is ideal. And you must be service-minded and customer-focused.
