Systems Administrator Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a System Administrator with expertise in Windows systems and server administration, endpoint management, backup and restore (on-premises & offsite), disaster recovery, and Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity, and optimizing system performance both on-premises and in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Systems & Server Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows based servers (on-premises and cloud-based).
• Perform server monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
• Ensure server security, patching, and compliance with IT policies.
2. Endpoint Management:
• Deploy and manage endpoint devices (laptops, desktops and mobile devices) using tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune, SCCM).
• Implement and manage endpoint security solutions (antivirus, encryption, MDM, EDR/XDR solutions).
• Automate software deployment, patching, and updates across all devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot endpoint performance and security issues.
3. Backup & Disaster Recovery Management:
• Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Manage backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, Azure Backup, or Commvault.
• Perform regular backup testing and DR drills to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures to ensure data integrity and availability.
4. Azure Cloud Administration:
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Storage, Networking, and Security.
• Administer Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Identity & Access Management, and Conditional Access Policies.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost, security, and performance.

Requirements & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in system administration, server management, and cloud services.
• Technical Skills:
o Windows Server Administration

Position Details:

Location: Phoenix, NM, UT, ideal candidate is in Phoenix, most accounts are in driving distance. *maybe every other week, outside of phoenix area. Home most days. Work van provided. Position Description:
