Position Description: Technology Systems Senior Designers report to the Technology Department Manager and design and implement low voltage systems for various projects, including access control, video surveillance, audio/visual, and telecommunication systems. Current preference is for Healthcare design experience.

- Create detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for low voltage systems using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, architects, engineers, and owners, to ensure projects meet their requirements
- Prepare program requirements and basis of design reports
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure low voltage systems are installed correctly and meet project timelines
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients
- Prepare structured cabling design documentation, including drawings and specifications
- Review and approve shop drawings and product data submittals and respond to RFIs
- Field coordination of installation work and review and analyze test results
- Systems coordination, specification writing, Revit/drafting, field work, product research, and responding to client questions
- Manage resources in development of construction documents
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure projects are installed correctly and meeting project requirements
- Prepare agendas, run design/coordination meeting and provide minutes
- Serve as technical resource for others throughout firm, providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technology consultant and designer for projects in an Architecture/Engineering consulting firm, ideally working on Healthcare projects – 5 years preferred
- Knowledge of various Technology systems design and implementation
- Thorough knowledge of telecommunications cabling and infrastructure design and implementation, including knowledge of industry standards including BICSI, IEEE, and TIA/EIA
- Working understanding of (prefer skilled in) standard project delivery models (Design Build, IPD, etc.)
- Must be proactive and have excellent time management skills and be capable of working independently, conscientious and flexible, with a strong work ethic and team-player attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently under strict deadlines, interface effectively with management, handle multiple requests with commitment to quality and eye for detail
- Applied knowledge of digital media delivery technologies, audio visual, security systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection and television distribution
- Applied knowledge of nurse call, intercom, public address and overhead paging – design level preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Revit, Bluebeam and AutoCAD
- RCDD and PMP certifications preferred
- Design level knowledge of structured cabling, audio/visual systems and security systems preferred
