As Field Service Engineer you will report directly to the Service Manager and provide technical support for Company material testing machines. Examples include but are not limited to: Automation, Robotest systems, Programming Auto Edition, Dropweight towers, Complex Medical equipment i.e., Catheter systems, Auto-Injectors, Torsion systems, and Temperature Chambers. Field Service Engineers calibrate equipment to relevant standards and procedures, train all current test methods, evaluate the result of the reasonableness test and train customers on the operation and software of Company machines. The Field Service Engineer will also work on project management, serve as leadership on relocation jobs and large Installation, prepare written reports of calibration results according to ISO/IEC 17025 and support customers and other personnel with technical advice when required. Troubleshooting electronic & electromechanical devices from schematics and mechanical drawings is expected.

Requirements/ Relevant Experience:
• 4 + years troubleshooting high voltage electrical + hydraulics
• Technical metrology or prior calibration experience is preferred. Experience with universal destructive testing machines and extensometers is also preferred but not required.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline

Location: Charleston, SC, remote home-based. Will go into shop once a week to re-tool for the service week.

Position Description:
