Description
Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Chambersburg, PA
Shift: Day Shift – 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 working every other weekend.
Night Shift – 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM | 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 working every other weekend.
Compensation: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour + 10% OT + $2,500 Sign on Bonus
Benefits: Full Comprehensive Benefits Package eligible on the first day of employment + Profit Sharing at around 7% and 401(k) matching at 4%. 5k relocation package provided if needed.
Travel: No travel required.
Position Description: As a Maintenance Technician at the company, you will perform corrective maintenance and emergency maintenance on food packaging/processing equipment to maximize machine uptime. You will work hands-on with Production Techs and help train Production Machine Technicians to increase skill levels in the department and decrease equipment downtime. You will also work on completing scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders assigned to increase asset life. Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment mechanical/electrical issues. Rebuild pumps, mills, gearboxes, and other miscellaneous mechanical entities. Utilize plant systems to generate work requests, track hours worked, and initiate purchasing requests. Performs all work following established HACCP and OSHA policies. Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls
Requirements:
• Understanding of mechanical applications and principles. Pumps, mills, gearboxes, etc.
• Working knowledge of electronic and electrical concepts and operating safety.
