Title: Sales Engineer
Location: Remote – Ideally Sacramento to LA areas with ability to cover California / Nevada territory
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + 25% Quarterly Bonus Plan + 5% Company Bonus $700/month auto allowance + Expense Budget + 401k match + Pension plan

Travel: Local regional travel throughout California/Nevada territory. Home every night and weekend. Some occasional overnight travel to meet with customers and to attend trade shows.

Position Description: As a Sales Engineer you will maximize sales of company products within a territory of California and Nevada focusing on the AT&T account. Work across the supply chain with end users, consultants, contractors, and distribution representatives to position fiber optic solutions and execute a territory sales plan. Jointly, develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage the company’s comprehensive capabilities. You will be expected to meet or exceed sales budgets for all telecommunications products assigned. Operate within assigned selling expense and promotional item budget. Through regular sales calls, generate preference for the company’s products over that of competitors. As the Sales Engineer, you will ensure a balanced mix of sales calls to end users, contractors, cable assembly houses, distributors, and consultants. Manage to maximum efficiency the NPI contractor program and Consultant EAP Program in your territory. Coordinate sales calls with primary distributor representatives to maximize sales penetration within assigned territory. Provide ongoing training to these distributors to assist them in effectively selling the company’s product solutions. You will also provide timely call report summaries for all face-to-face meetings & important phone conversations using an assigned CRM System. Maintain and keep current a territory Opportunity Board of all projects valued above $50K in your territory. Proven success in time management will be important along with the ability to work with others.

Requirements:
• 2-3+ years of technical sales experience.
• Strong consultative communication skills and solution-selling capabilities.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
