Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Dallas, TX
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday
Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour + OT + Performance Bonus Plan
Benefits: Full Comprehensive Benefits Package + 401 (k) with match
Travel: 50% local throughout Dallas driving 100 mile radius + 50% overnight throughout the U.S.
Candidates will need to drive their vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage and gas.
Position Description: As a Field Service Technician at the company, a day-to-day schedule would consist of picking up parts and visiting client sites to complete installations or service calls as per schedule. Responsibilities include running wires for Network (CAT), TV, Speakers, or other network equipment, installing the provided equipment based on the provided scope of work, and ensuring the client is satisfied with the results. Candidates must be able to follow SOP, be proactive, and follow through if the issue is not resolved right away or installation is not completed in the specified time block and ask for help if there is a roadblock until the client issue is resolved and the client is happy. Strong communication skills are required to keep customers informed of arrival and inform superiors of any issues to be proactive in solutions. You must be a self-starter, an outside-the-box thinker, and be able to work under pressure, keep organized, and look for solutions. Someone who seeks out solutions when they hit a roadblock instead of dropping the task and forgetting it Ability to multitask, follow directions, and complete jobs as per SOW (Scope of Work). Document notes thoroughly in a system with details of what was done, issues encountered, and completion notes.
Requirements:
? 1-2+ years of low voltage field tech experience doing installations including MDF and IDF rack and stacks, pulling cable (Cat 5e, Cat 6, coax, and fiber).
? Experience installing routers switches, servers, patch panels, and cable pulling from network racks to various network drops. Installation of VoIP phone systems.
