Position Description: This cross-functional role will expose a successful candidate to many parts of the construction business and significantly impacts the operational performance of the business. The job title was taken from a military role that bridges the gap between operations in the field and the planning and support roles in a headquarters. This role supports the company's operational planning and the execution of construction projects in the field. This role is the link between field operations and the company office. Duties may include:
• Operations:
o Coordinate the creation of emergency jobs in the field management system and project tracking system with the Field Operations Superintendent, associated project team, and company leadership.
o Maintain situational awareness of the daily and weekly schedule and coordinate support requested by the field management team.
o Participate in the daily stand-up meeting
• Planning:
o Participate in the job status meeting with the project teams. This task includes updating the status of materials on order, communicating to the project teams when all materials for the project are on hand, and noting the priority of projects to pass on to the field management team.
o Participate in the scheduling meeting with the field management team. This task includes communicating priorities from the project teams, informing the field management team of the status of materials for jobs that are ready to schedule, and building a shipment schedule to support the jobs scheduled for construction.
• Logistics:
o Track inbound shipments, update the estimated time of arrival, and communicate this information to the project teams.
o Receive shipments, assign parts to their respective jobs, maintain the bill of materials (BOM) for each job, and communicate to the project teams and superintendents when a BOM for the job is complete.
o Pick and stage materials for shipment to job sites, including building pallets, checking materials against the BOM, and including a BOM packing list for shipment to personnel in the field.
o Arrange shipment of materials from the warehouse to job sites in coordination with the Field Operations Superintendent. This task includes determining the timing and method of shipment and coordination with field leadership, customers, and the field personnel who will receive the shipment. A shipment is not complete until it is received and accounted for by the personnel in the field.
o Assign shipping costs to the associated job in the field management system.
o Maintain an inventory of stock parts in the warehouse.
o Maintain an orderly warehouse, and ensure materials are available and accounted for to support operations.
o Identify process improvement areas and work with company leadership to develop projects to address them.

Requirements:
A successful candidate must be able to learn to use field management system software, communicate effectively via email, text messages, and phone calls to support operations in the field and manage their schedule. This role requires the ability to do the physical labor needed to receive shipments, move, stow, stage, and load materials for shipment. This involves standing, reaching, bending, and lifting materials to 70 lbs., moving loads on a pallet jack, and climbing ladders. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, coordinate with the field team, and take tasks to completion.
