Position Details:
Title: Robotics Technician
Location: High Point, NC
Shift: Openings on all shifts! (1st, 6a-2p / 2nd 3:30p-12a / 3rd 9p-5:30a) M-F schedule & two Saturdays per month. 45-hr weeks, OT after 8 hours!
Compensation: $21.94-$33.06 for non-journeypersons and $25.66-$38.37 for journeypersons – depending on qualifications and experience! There is also a shift premium for second and third-shift employees at 7.5%!

Position Description:
As a Robotics Technician, you will operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment. You may assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.
• Align, fit, and assemble parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.
• Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
• Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
• Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges.
• Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Develop, test, and program new robots and PLCs.
• Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.
• Train others to install, use, and maintain robots.
• Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electrical theory, PLC troubleshooting, and automation software suites (PLC 5, SLC 500, ControlLogix PLC’s Devicenet, Ethernet). They will have an associate degree in automation/robotics/electronics or equivalent experience. Skills in process application for Fanuc robots, networking, and troubleshooting with hydraulic, pneumatic, and adhesive applications AND strong communication and people skills.
