Position Details:

Title: Manufacturing Lead

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Second shift, 3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation: $21-$25/hr depending on qualifications and experience! + OT + $1.75/hr shift differential

Position Description:

The Manufacturing Lead assists with coordinating and managing personnel work activities within the manufacturing department. Works collaboratively with other department leaders to ensure production material flow by planning, assigning, and assisting with the work. Supports the job safety, productivity, and training of their workgroup. Provides input and recommendations to personnel matters including hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion, etc.

Responsibilities include:

Supports work activities by coordinating and managing operations and activities within the manufacturing rewind department.
Inspects and reviews all daily data reporting for accuracy and resolves discrepancies as needed.
Provide ongoing status updates regarding production and distribution.
Assists with on-the-floor training and development of department personnel.
Provide input and recommendations regarding personnel matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, and demotion.
Works to ensure timely completion of projects within established guidelines.
Maintain company safety policies and procedures while ensuring clean and orderly work areas.
Communicates and facilitates plans concerning material flow, planning, assigning, and directing work.
Maintains quality and industry mandates by inspecting materials, products, or equipment by detecting defects or malfunctions.
Consult with department leaders and management to resolve work problems, complaints, or grievances.
Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED or one-year related industrial experience or equivalent training
Demonstrate strong basic math and measuring skills
Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and written
Cooperatively works and interacts with members of various departments
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and related products
Ability to effectively convey information and directions to others, both oral and written
Personal protective equipment is required
Continuous participation in company safety training
Company forklift operation training and certification
