Description

Position Details:
Title: Safety Manager (SM) | Quality Liaison Location: Santa Clara, CA / Hillsboro, OR Shift: Day shift, typically M – F
Compensation: $115k - $130k depending on experience and qualifications

Travel: Primarily local and between CA/OR but expected to travel for training purposes

Responsible for a broad range of technical work across the safety and quality disciplines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, with an emphasis placed on reducing risk and addressing quality concerns in the customer environment. You will also manage any agency required data collection and reporting, risk assessment, incident analysis, training, and overall program management for all facilities. You will need to perform work both individually and in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
• Manage, implement, and oversee the strategic development of safety policies and programs to improve the United States’ organization's environmental, safety and quality performance, ensure it complies with current and future regulations and standards, and protect its reputation.
• Manage safety and quality activities to ensure the organization complies with EHS regulations as well as internal policies.
• These activities may include: Monitor EHS & Quality performance, identify risks or areas for improvement; conduct
safety and quality audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards; investigate safety and quality incidents; prepare reports and recommendations; develop and deliver EHS training programs; manage relationships with community or environmental stakeholders.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend changes to improve safety and quality performance.
• Define, compile, monitor, analyze and respond to leading and lagging performance indicators to ensure controls are y
maintained effectively; identify and implement safety and quality continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with Vienna, Austria headquarters to reinforce, continuously improve and implement quality standards and improvements.
• Extensive experience with all applicable regulations including federal, state, and local laws and standards. (US EPA,
DOT, OSHA, etc.
• ISO 9001 knowledge: Addressing certification requirements / maintenance needs of a quality system and creation of
policy and procedures applicable to the United States’ organization in alignment with Vienna, Austria headquarters.
• Ability to interpret these regulations to ensure compliance.
• Stay current with environmental regulations so the organization's EHS policies remain current and relevant.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business software applications.
• Capable to interact with critical customers in a demanding environment.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene or related major and/or four or more years in an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, Specialist or Manager role in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
