Shift: 4/10’s or 5/8’s
Compensation: Dependent on experience (Cannot brief compensation due to NDA but the role is competitive)

Position Description:
As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the technical support of various systems within your field of engineering required for operations at the plant level. Act as a liaison to the operations/maintenance groups and engineering. Use knowledge, expertise, and problem-solving skills to maximize system availability and reliability. Knowledge with BoP systems to provide the support needed to keep the plant running stably and efficiently and utilize the important balance of plant components include inverters, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, etc. while the primary power generating equipment includes turbines, power generators, etc.

Responsibilities:
• Assists in the management, supervision or performance of planning, designing, constructing and/or maintaining structures, facilities and systems.
• Track and trend assigned plant systems by review of operating logs and corrective/preventative maintenance.
• Prepares a variety of written summaries, informal reports and progress reports on system status. May present the status of equipment and concerns to management.
• Coordinate efforts of multiple plant groups, to support operations on a round-the-clock basis should problems arise with assigned systems.
• Participates in Safety and Quality Assurance activities by serving on teams, special projects, attendance at meetings, training sessions, special assignments, etc.
• Review operating status and parameters of Items Relied on for Safety (IROFS) and perform required surveillances to ensure their availability.
• Support integrated systems testing and execution of test plans.
• May coordinate the work of technical support employee or design engineer who assists in troubleshooting and repair of equipment and systems, modifications or adjustments to eliminate malfunctions.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security and environmental and safety program requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Ability to get DOE “Q” level Security Clearance – If you have this, please let your recruiter know.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Mechanical Engineering, or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experienced in engineering specialty or variety of disciplines. Hiring level will be commensurate with experience.
• Understanding of engineering principles, theory, and concept
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of various balance of plant (BOP) equipment
