Location: Phoenix, AZ, Overland Park, KS or Houston, TX
Schedule: M–F Days
Compensation: Market competitive base salary, depends on experience
Bonus: up to 12% annually (6% June/6% Dec), based on personal and company performance

Position Description: The Project Management Engineer (PME) Manager will be responsible for leading/mentoring/guiding a team of PMEs (direct reports running their project teams), ensuring the successful execution of projects within scope, schedule, budget and FastGrid’s client service and quality standards. As well, the PME Manager will set the example of being able to serve as PME for their projects in tandem – overseeing and driving engineering projects from conception to completion. The PME Manager will provide regular insight into team and project status to the Vice President of Project Management Engineering, to whom they will directly report. FastGrid serves as the Prime engineering firm for their customers’ (EPC firms) projects from design through construction (Electrical in-house, Civil and Structural subcontracted).

• Lead and manage a team of direct-report PMEs to successfully execute and lead multi-discipline engineering projects while serving as a PME on select projects.
• Mentor, coach, and develop PME team members to successfully implement projects and build rapport with the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients and facilitate internal/client relationships.
• Track project status, milestones, and KPIs for all projects within purview; provide regular project and client status updates to supervisor.
• Monitor project progress and performance within the company PM application, proactively identifying and addressing risks and obstacles.
• Review and facilitate technical reviews of proposals, associated SOWs, and project data rooms; provide feedback on scope, schedule, and budget in support of proposal development.
• Coordinate with discipline leadership and the PME team to select project teams for projects.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the PME team.
• Proactively own project coordination between internal team, stakeholders, and sub-consultants.
• Uphold company standard processes and workflows.
• Oversee and own implementation of company QA/QC procedures.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• 8+ years in project management or related roles; 3 years in a leadership capacity
• Strong leadership and management skills – communication, organization, people skills, teamwork, relationship management, ownership, manage expectations, flexibility, humility
• Renewables background and track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects – the ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, multi-discipline comprehension, and a thorough understanding of project drivers
• Professional Engineering licensure and PMP certification preferred
• General knowledge of solar/BESS design requirements and construction sequence
