Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Sarasota, FL

Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday from 6:00am – 4:30pm; able to work overtime as needed.
Salary/Benefits: $20 - $27/hr depending on experience –plus Overtime. Full coverage benefits with 401k matching *Military Veteran candidates highly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary: As a Maintenance Technician, you will become a part of a team that is building the finest boats in the industry that are known around the world! You will be responsible for performing basic types of building maintenance and repair that is generated from the Facilities Services work order system. Most work will be related to the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment at the facility. Our client is willing to train!
Position Responsibilities:
• Conduct installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment at the facility including but not limited to air conditioning filter change, air compressor, power tool repairs and maintenance, jet dust and northern air dust collectors.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on buildings, tools, and equipment
• Conduct basic electrical/electronic work when necessary
• Change light bulbs
• Extension cord repairs
• Monthly inspection of fire extinguishers
• Inspection of eyewash stations
• Change air and water filters
• Operate forklift (after receiving certification) and pallet jack to move dollies
• Responsible for creating and maintaining safe work environment
• Assist in other areas when asked and have a positive attitude!
Qualifications:
• Military veteran candidates are highly encouraged to apply! (no previous manufactering experinece required)
• Experience with basic electrical up to 220 volts
• 3+ years of maintenance preventative maintenance & troubleshooting experience
• Experience with power tools, hand tools, and multi-meter required
• Ability to get Forklift certified (if not aready) within the first 90 days
• OSHA knowledge is a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize workload to keep production running with minimum interruptions
• Able to operate and read a multimeter

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that focuses on the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing facility, performing tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely; the training offers a broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics to diagnose and fix issues with complex machinery.

? Quality Control Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that leads to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. You will become a Certified Manufacturing Associate; with skills in Calibration, Hole Standards, Thread Standards, ISO 9001, etc.

? Industrial Manufacturing Technician: a fast track, short term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on the set-up, operation, monitoring, and production control equipment. You will learn general manufacturing processes & production, maintenance, quality practices, measurement, and safety measures.

? Production Technologist Associate: a fast track, short-term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on basic manufacturing concepts for high demand, production and assembly roles.
