Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Relocation / sign-on bonus is available on a case-by-case basis (usually between ~1.5K and 5K, depending on a number of different factors).

Position Descriptions:



Lead Automation Technician - $35/hr - $40/hr + 10% shift premium

McDonough, GA (30 mi south of Atlanta); weekend shift (6:30a – 7:30p Thurs to Sat)


As the Lead Resident Automation Technician you will lead a team of technicians onsite to maintain, troubleshoot and repair automation equipment within a brand new, state-of-the-art Warehouse / Distribution Center (Lowes). You will also act as the key liaison between the customer and the company on automation and personnel matters. Some specific responsibilities include:



Assist with onsite responsibilities such as managing incidents, identifying training needs, coordinating shift work, approving timecards, responding to time-off requests, attending customer meetings, etc.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities pertaining to automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Provide hands-on assistance with such maintenance activities, lead efforts to resolve issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge, and communicate maintenance activities to the customer as needed.
Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible. Perform root cause analyses and drive issues to resolution.
Assign work orders to the team and ensure completion of such tasks, and provide assistance as needed.
Monitor and maintain site spare parts inventory and/or work closely with customer to maintain spare parts inventory upon request.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize automation efficiency and performance in delivery of contracted KPIs.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the customer.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines, requirements, procedures, and regulations.
Collaborate with the broader Company Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.


In order to be successful in this role, you should have good hands-on experience (both mechanical and electrical) with industrial and or material handling equipment (such as conveyors) and related automation and control systems and software. Familiarity with HMI and SCADA is preferred, as is experience with PLC and automation troubleshooting, Profibus and/or Profinet. You should also be able to demonstrate leadership ability and experience handling high-stress scenarios requiring advanced interpersonal skills and conflict resolution techniques.
