Position: Welder Location: Apopka, FL *(located just 12 miles NW of Orlando!)

Shift Hours: Monday – Thursday from 6:30am – 5:00pm; able to work overtime as needed.

Salary/Benefits: $25-$28/hr + plus Overtime – Full coverage benefits with 401k matching

Position Summary: As a Welder at JE Technologies Solutions, you will be responsible for joining metal parts together, repair metal structures, and fill holes in metal constructions using intense heating. The Welder is expected to hold themselves to a standard in which safety and quality are the top priority.


Position Responsibilities:
• Fabrication of various metal parts via AWS welding techniques.
• Weld various types of metal including (Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless Steel) on large platforms, and other structures.
• Accurately examine and measure work pieces for defects etc.
• Measure work pieces to ensure correct specifications.
• Create jigs and clamping fixtures, as required, to ensure conformance to the drawings.
• Notify managers of any defective or faulty equipment or material.
• Notify managers of opportunities for improvement in designs, parts, materials, or processes.
• Support engineering design efforts as it relates to manufacturability of parts.
• Fabricate work pieces IAW engineering designs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Behavior Competencies:
Ideal candidate would be a team player, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications:
• Military veteran candidates with some welding experience are highly encouraged to apply!
• Experience in Welding (aluminum alloy and special alloy experience desired)
• Education at high school or trade school level is required.
• Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding a MUST.
• Experience and proficient at reading manufacturing drawings, parts lists and sketches.
• Experience and proficient at reading and understanding weld callouts per AWS A2.4.
• Proficient in the use of general hand tools (drills, grinders, calipers, saws, etc.)
• Weld test required prior to employment.
• Must have own tools – or ability to obtain them (wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, calipers, measuring tapes, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Certified welding helmet, welding sleeves, etc.).

? Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that focuses on the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing facility, performing tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely; the training offers a broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics to diagnose and fix issues with complex machinery.

? Quality Control Technician: This is an 18-month training pathway that leads to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. You will become a Certified Manufacturing Associate; with skills in Calibration, Hole Standards, Thread Standards, ISO 9001, etc.

? Industrial Manufacturing Technician: a fast track, short term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on the set-up, operation, monitoring, and production control equipment. You will learn general manufacturing processes & production, maintenance, quality practices, measurement, and safety measures.

? Production Technologist Associate: a fast track, short-term, 1-year registered apprenticeship program which focuses on basic manufacturing concepts for high demand, production and assembly roles.
