Title: Field Service Engineer
Locations: Northern DC-Metro/Virginia; New York City, NY; Boston MA
Shift: Primarily daytime hours Mon.-Fri. with flexibility to handle unscheduled calls in your territory
Compensation: $65K-$70K base salary based on experience + paid overtime + car package + bonus incentives + relocation.

Position Description: A successful Field Service Engineer will drive for excellence in customer satisfaction, enjoy troubleshooting, setting up complex systems, and have a passion for learning new technology. You will be a key part of the expanding Field Service team as the company expert at customer sites, ensuring that advanced lighting systems are commissioned properly and serviced post-installation. This role is an integral part of company’s customer-focused business model as customers are the foundation of their business. Specific responsibilities include:
• Deliver exemplary customer service to company customers in the field.
• Become proficient in servicing all company Systems while following field service procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair company commercial system installations.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and facility managers to ensure proper system installation.
• Focus on lifecycle product service (troubleshooting, repair, training end-users, and upgrades)
• Serve as a technical expert for legacy systems and products.

Requirements: Experience: 3-5 years in electro-mechanical or related field.
• Non-Technical:
o 2 or 4-year college degree, technical school degree, or related military experience.
o Strong customer service skills.
o Highly organized and accustomed to a fast-paced work schedule
o Valid driver’s license with ability to pass background checks and drug screens as required.
• Technical:
o Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems.
o Computer networking experience desired.

Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Materials Manager to join their dynamic team of industry leading experts in their Richmond, VA area manufacturing facility. This key leadership position is responsible for all materials management activity at the VA manufacturing operation. This includes Supply Chain design, ERP/SAP parameter maintenance, production planning, purchasing, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, trade compliance, and shipping. Leads a team of 5 Supply Chain/Warehouse employees.

• Planning strategies and tactical purchasing execution, warehouse receiving and shipping, supply chain scheduling and priority control, inventory control, logistics model optimization, material and freight total cost control
• Manage materials related to annual capital and expense budgets
• Material plan, purchasing and logistic activities
• Lean inventory control strategies while maintaining levels of production effectiveness while meeting inventory targets
• Develop goals and objectives for the department to drive teamwork, improve technical capability, and optimize job back-up plan
• Manage the short-term and long-term capacity plans based on MPS and recommend adjustments to ensure optimal throughput and cost efficiencies
• Material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control activity to insure efficient material movement, storage, and accurate inventory records
• Monitor program launches and product changes. Implement countermeasures and adjust planning systems to minimize obsolete inventories
• Maintain priorities to achieve 100% customer on-time deliveries and production throughput efficiencies
• Lean supply chain and Kaizen/5S program
• Communications with plant manager and corporate on material potential issues or improvements strategic plan

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field
• Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all degrees earned
• 10+ years of professional experience
• People leadership and related material management experience
• Working knowledge of low-volume/high mix & high-volume manufacturing operations, warehouse shipping and receiving, ERP planning systems, proven mathematical and analysis skills required
• ERP experience with proficiency in SAP preferred. Knowledge of MMS ERP is a plus
• CPIM (Certified Production & Inventory Management) certification is a plus
• Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus
