• Support the Facility Technicians in diagnosing complex Mechanical and Electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, Electrical/Mechanical Schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
• Support the Facility Technicians in troubleshooting and repair of Complex Motor Control problems on equipment with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Soft Starts, Servo Drives, and External Input / Output (I/O) Devices.
• Support the Facility Technicians in performing Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on Conveyor equipment, Manufacturing equipment, Grounds, Building Equipment and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).
• Attend Daily Production meetings as needed.
• Ability to work at heights from ladders and aerial lifts.
• Ability to work on the exterior of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing Center and within a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to complete additional task and request as needed from the sites Leadership Team.
• Able to effectively communicate issues to not only other team members but as well as to the operational team.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses 5 years of related experience/education in Material Handling Equipment (Conveyors and Sortation Equipment), Manufacturing, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Maintenance and /or Installation.

Position Details:
Title: Field Service Technician
Location: North Carolina or South Carolina (near major airport)
Shift: Mon-Fri. Revolving on call weekends (On Call schedules put out for each calendar year so will know when on call) + Guaranteed 40/ hrs a week. If on call, paid for 8 hours even if not called out.
Compensation: $28-$34/hr + $620 month vehicle stipened – Gas and vehicle services covered by company; personal and business use + $150 extra a day when on call

Travel: 75%. Travel is M-F unless scheduled for on call. Average 3-4 days traveling.

Position Description:
Responsible and accountable to travel to customer sites to install, service and repair food processing machinery. use deep technical knowledge to assist with and provide guidance in the
testing of Company technologies and to provide assistance on troubleshooting issues for complex customer installations. The position is also responsible to generate and distribute technical reports regarding testing results.

Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A well-rounded Mechanical and Electrical Background
• Knowledge/ experience with pneumatic, hydraulic power systems or control systems are a plus.
• Strong active listening skills
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Ability to read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and manuals to determine work procedures.
