Title: Senior Electronics Technician
Location: Everett, WA
Shift: M-F 8-5:30
Compensation: $40-45/hr

Position Description:

The Engineering Technician will support the build, maintenance, and operation of experimental fusion energy devices. Responsibilities include assembling and installing mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with engineers to improve systems and processes. You will be a hands-on contributor to the development of cutting-edge fusion technology.

Veteran profiles: Nuke EM, and Nuke ET.
Responsibilities:
• Support the build, assembly, operation, and testing of PCBA and control systems required for running a fusion machine and multiple test systems
• Help with the identification, installation, and implementation of test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Help create minor subassemblies and test components focused on PCBAs, pulse power electronics, electrical systems, and fast prototypes
• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and service Electronics assemblies, PCBAs, and pulsed power test systems
• Create, organize, and maintain electronic component and consumables inventory
• Be responsible for preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
Education/Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and interconnects
• Solder, reflow, rework and repair PCBAs to IPC standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721
• Experience with electronic troubleshooting and using standard benchtop tools like oscilloscopes, Eloads, FRA, Arb waveform generators, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, DVMs
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, schematic capture, and PCB design software
