Position Details
Location: Mapleton, IL
Compensation: $118K – $150K base salary, plus 18% Target Bonus // Expected First Year Comp = $140K – $177K
Shift: Traditional Day Shift
Travel: Minimal

Position Description
As a Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in manufacturing process development projects for the continuous improvement of the safety, quality, velocity and cost of manufacturing. Specific responsibilities include:
• Providing technical expertise and guidance in major manufacturing projects, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Evaluating major systems and the coordination of those systems with the total plant.
• Directing suppliers to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing designs or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes.

Position Requirements
• Experience in managing large scale capital projects (greater than $10 Million in project budget) including concept development, project funding and execution of large-scale (Cradle-to-Grave) capital projects.
• Heavy industrial Manufacturing Project Management experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with CNC machining.
• Experience as the “Decision Maker” (i.e. Resource Selection Experience is a must!).
• Must have “New Product Introduction” experience / “New Equipment Installation.”
• Strong Safety Process background.
Competitive candidates must have knowledge in the following subject areas:
• Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical/administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Knowledge of how to develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs.
• Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.
• Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
