Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Senior Controls Engineer position with an American multinational healthcare company.

Position Details
Location: Batesville, IN (relocation offered)
Compensation: $115K+ based on experience (plus 5% annual incentive bonus)
Shift: M-F 6am-2pm with flexibility (some weekends if necessary)

Position Description
As a Senior Controls Engineer, your responsibilities include:
• Write and/or execute, and report on validation activities.
• Perform engineering studies on new equipment to determine accurate settings, control points, etc.
• Initiate new or revisions of protocols/operating instructions specific to the project.
• Perform NCR/CAPA investigations and tasks.
• Manage and execute change control activities related to equipment.
• Perform work assignments within the production department that include training/technical support.
• SME that leads equipment and/or process troubleshooting efforts, as needed.
• Establish and control capital operating budgets for projects.
• Assist in the design, installation and start-up of new equipment and systems, as required.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on projects relating to existing and new product lines.
• Design, build, and lead installation of controls systems to support automation projects.

Position Requirements
• BS in Engineering required (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred).
• 5 or more years of demonstrated ability in a similar role, or military equivalent experience.
• Understanding of machine design, AutoCAD, and PLC Programming, troubleshooting and project management/or equivalent.
• 5+ years Allen Bradley &/or Rockwell PLC experience Servo control systems (Rockwell, Allen Bradley, and Yaskawa).
• AutoCAD and Solid Edge drafting skills and experience in a regulated industry are a plus.
