Position Details:
• Position: Overhead Crane Technician
• Location: Ghent, KY
• Travel: None
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shift schedule. (Modified Dupont Schedule // during this schedule you will work 7 day shifts and 7 night shifts with 7 off days out of the first 21 days of the 28-day cycle, followed by 7 days off in a row, before the 28-day cycle starts again). This shift is popular with the company employees because you will get a week off every month, and it allows you to plan your vacation days to give yourself 2 weeks of vacation with only having to use up 3-5 of your vacation days! Company offers 1 week of PTO after 6 months and 3 weeks of PTO your first calendar year (starting January 1).
Compensation: You can realistically expect your 1st year total compensation to be $108k – 113.6k

An important component of your Total Compensation is a Weekly Productivity/Incentive Bonus Plan that currently averages 140% of your weekly pay (and that percentage is expected to increase significantly over the next year). Raises are excellent at the company and dependent on how hard you want to work on getting maintenance qualifications completed; hard charging technicians can earn up to a 21.5% raise (depending on what you qualify) within the first year or so for meeting qualifications on multiple plant equipment. Position Description:
• Crane Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for maintaining the facility’s Overhead cranes.
• Duties include but are not limited to inspection, calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical Crane equipment.
• You will work as part of a team to ensure that all preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
• Responsibilities include print reading, control circuits, AC/DC theory electrical and mechanical maintenance as it relates to the equipment.
• Will also work with and adhere to safe electrical practices.
• Teammates will use computerized maintenance management program/system to complete work orders, find and order parts, and to schedule maintenance work for shift.
Requirements:
From a technical perspective, you must be able to demonstrate good electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair skills. You must have a demonstrated history of safe work practices and the ability to work with minimal direction. Be prepared to demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings for repair, installation and maintenance of complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment. Experience with AC and DC drives (ABB Drives experience is a plus), PLCs (experience with Siemens PLCs is a plus), and computers is expected. Required mechanical skills/experience include gearboxes and industrial structural assembly (i.e crane structures and assemblies). At a minimum for electrical skills/experiences, candidates must have a strong background with motor controllers, variable frequency drives, radio controls, and voltages up to 480V.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Knowledge/experience: electrical theory, digital/analog electronics, schematics, print reading, control circuits, computers/PLC programming, test instruments, power supplies, power distribution, AC/DC drives/motors, CMMS systems, 480V systems, high voltage, NFPA70E.
• Knowledge specific to industrial overhead crane maintenance including but not limited to; codes and specifications, PLCs, drive programming, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, NDT, crane inspections, and production practices.
• Crane maintenance experience – both electrical and mechanical
