Position Details:
Title: Service Technician
Location: Long Beach, CA; Houston,TX; Baton Rouge,LA; New Lenox, IL
Shift: : Willing to work both day and nights depends on project. For major “turnaround” maintenance project- night work is needed- but these projects also offer major overtime opportunities and can included weekend work, paid at time and a half and often double time
Compensation: $29-$35/hr based on experience- quick promotion available and plenty of overtime is offered. Some upward flex on hourly rate is available for strong electricians

Travel: Depending on location it can go over 25% including some projects that require multiple weeks on a job site. For the CA locations, travel is a little lighter since so much business is right there. Company provides reimbursement for the cost of travel/per diem.
Position Description:
• Installing new hardware on printed circuit boards.
• Performing upgrades to equipment with assistance of computer software.
• Perform high voltage testing on various equipment.
• Assessing hardware and installation functionality while preparing reports on maintenance and repair work that has been performed.
• Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly matter.
• Explaining complex installation, diagnostic and repair issues in a way that’s accessible to a non-technical audience.
• Other duties as assigned by regional equipment manager.
• Knowledge of how to maintain, repair, diagnose and correctly install or replace various components.
• Strong knowledge of the industrial industry and the components used in it.
• Physical stamina in the handling of complex tools and heavy equipment.
• Firm technical knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while using their own technical judgement regarding complex task.
• Precise written and verbal communication on repairs preformed with written documentation.
• Computer knowledge with various programs in excel, word, ability to set up local area network, and technical programs for generators.
Requirements:
• Previous work experience in a related field.
• Military electricians are great matches.
• Experience with industrial mechanical and electrical operations.
• Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset.
• TWIC, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid, and Forklift Training an asset.
• Ability to lift and pull 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Travel as required.
