Position Details:
Title: Branch Manager
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Compensation: $110-130K base salary (depending on experience)
+ up to 30% annual bonus based on salary and branch performance.
Benefits: Health, Dental, Life, and Supplemental Insurances available;
Paid time off (PTO) – 3 weeks (15 days) prorated; paid holidays; up to 4% 401K match
Travel: Daily territory travel, as well as some days in office. Almost always home each night.
A handful of meetings/trainings/trade events that may require an overnight stay, 2-3 times per year.
Territory: Northern Indiana and very Southern Michigan
Position Description | Branch Manager
The Branch Manager reports to the Senior VP, Motive Power and is responsible for selling corporate products and services, strategically managing the territory to include managing and working closely with the branch team to include roughly 1 Sales professional, 1 Service Coordinator, and 5-6 Service Technicians. This includes effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites (roughly 5-10 customer accounts).

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement growth and profitability strategy for the territory.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with key lift truck dealer and end user.
• Develop and prospect new customer accounts to generate increased revenue.
• Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s) while on-site.
• Analyze customer applications and problems and provide technical solutions.
• Manage the branch service operations via the Branch Operations Manager coordinating customer service and sales strategies, service technicians and inside customer service/office administration.
• Work with the company’s Director of Service & Safety to implement company processes and standards regarding service operations and safety directives.
• Mentor, train and manage branch sales representatives, establish quotas and manage performance.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and discuss credit terms.
• Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
• Utilize marketing data obtained through applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation

Requirements:
The ideal candidate has 10 years of experience in outside sales and personnel management. You should also have knowledge of forklift battery and charger operation and knowledge of their use in manufacturing, distribution and other operational environments.

Additional Requirements Include:
• Demonstrated experience managing sales representatives and/or service technicians including assessing and developing sales, presentation and technical skills.
• Ability to manage personnel, direct a team, coordinate and execute corporate policy and procedures.
• Ability to manage, coach and mentor sales personnel to execute sales strategies using tools to effectively measure and manage performance.
• Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
• Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
• Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
• Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
• Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
• Experience with customer relationship management software.
