Position Details:

Title: Project Manager – Healthcare

Location: Chicago, IL

Shift: Mon-Fri, 1st shift hours, but flexible to meet business needs

Compensation: $90k-$115k depending on qualifications and experience!

Travel: Travel required to meet customer needs. The customer area extends North to the WI border, and South to Crown Point, IN, but most work is down within the greater Chicago area.



Position Description: Seeking a motivated Project Manager to manage capital projects from start to finish.

Oversee the end-to-end construction process. Ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality control.
Communicate effectively to ensure client needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Collaborate closely with design engineers, architects, construction team, and other stakeholders to align with clients’ needs.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Create detailed project plans in coordination with design professionals. Maintain a high level of organization across projects.
Work with architectural and engineering firms to attain necessary permits for each project.
Ensure construction activities adhere to local and national building codes, and environmental, and governmental regulations. Ensure compliance with healthcare clients’ regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Monitor and document project approvals, progress, changes, schedule, finances, and other performance indicators.
Manage project risks both internally and externally and ensure that project timelines and budgets are successful.
Lead Owner/Architect-Engineer/Contractor meetings and provide solutions to potential issues related to the project. Document meeting agendas and minutes. Follow up with the team appropriately.
Manage the project budget to ensure funds are allocated appropriately and the project spending stays aligned with the authorized budget.
Create project reports and keep detailed records for regulatory and audit compliance. Ensure key information and data is effectively communicated and appropriately retained.
Provide appropriate close-out documentation to the client. Manage project information and retain it as required.
Ensure tasks are completed accurately, on time, and to internal and external quality standards.
Support the internal and external cross-functional team helpfully and positively.
Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams.
Build network connections and professional partnerships. Conduct background research, data collection, and benchmarking.
Establish or improve processes and systems to be utilized throughout the project.
Candidate will be assigned other duties and tasks as required to meet business needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction management, project management, or equivalent process-based leadership role.
Experience building and maintaining client satisfaction.
Able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite, digital tools used in construction management, and ability to learn various field management software systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience with healthcare or other heavily regulated industries is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working with and managing expectations of executive leadership within client organizations.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM), QFDI, CFDAI, Design-Build Professional (DBIA), Associate Design-Build Professional (Assoc DBIA), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Construction Institute (LCI)certification
Licensing: PE, AIA, or RA (any state)
