Position Details:
Title: Equipment Engineering Technician
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Shift: 12 hr. Backend Nights. Wed – Fri, and every other Saturday. 5:30pm – 5:45am
Frontend Days. Sun – Tues, and every other Wednesday. 5:30am – 5:45pm
Compensation: $80,000 - $98,000 Total Comp. Hourly rate $30/hr - $38/hr, +4 hours of OT per shift, +11% shift differential. See breakdown.

# of days worked in a month: 16 days (avg)
11% shift differential, hourly rate is $35.52
8 hours at $35.52/hr for 16 workdays = $4,546

Position Description:
You will be responsible for shipping, receiving, installation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of high vacuum pump and photo mask assemblies.
Requirements:
Perform technical servicing of semiconductor mechanical pumps and support equipment.
Responsible for pump inventory, tracking, shipping, and receiving of mechanical pump assemblies.
Competent in the use of test equipment including test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment.
Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
Document and update pump repairs and installations.
Interface with, vendor, Senior Technicians, and Engineers to support mechanical pump installations on time.
Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance on Helium Leak detectors once up to speed.
Follow maintenance and safety procedures.
Participate in ERT/Safety events when pumps are involved.
Train on semiconductor production equipment
Requires minimal management supervision to perform daily routines once trained.
Accountability/Discretion:
Work within established procedures and written or verbal instructions on a wide variety of technical, non-standardized assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices and take corrective action is required.
Demonstrate high quality work.
Working Relationships:
Interface with all Production, Process, Facility and support functions to identify and resolve vacuum pump related issues and provide technical guidance.
Supervision:
No direct management responsibilities
Working Conditions:
Works in a fab and sub-fab clean-room environment
Must demonstrate working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance. Capable of working with hand tools and multimeter.
Job Requirements
Requires an AS degree (Military or Trade School with an emphasis in electronics/mechanical equivalent may substitute for AS degree) or 5+ years of experience in the following technical fields, mechanical, electrical or refrigeration.
Experience in the Semiconductor industry is a plus.
