Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Mechanical Engineer position with a company that offers a wide range of commercial and industrial mechanical services, including maintenance, on-demand service, and equipment repair and replacement.

Position Details
Location: Harleysville, PA
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 Base Salary + Annual Company Bonus Plan + 401k match
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: Full Comprehensive Benefits Package
Travel: No travel

Position Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will prepare HVAC and plumbing construction drawings, details, and schedules. Responsibilities will include:
• You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and design building HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret HVAC and/or plumbing plans and specs.
• Provide information to our estimators relative to the bid packages.
• Interact with customers to understand their building usage and internal processes to build a system that meets their needs.
• Document systems design in Revit.
• Perform engineering analysis work, including load calculations, equipment, pipe/duct sizing, etc.
• Build BIM/3D models and coordinate the models with both internal and external team members.

Position Requirements
• 3-4+ years of years of experience in the commercial construction engineering field, preferably in the HVAC and or plumbing fields.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with Revit is preferred.
• Must be self-directed, highly motivated, and organized with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with the BIM process, including software, document exchange, and project coordination will be helpful.
• Excellent project management, interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate efficiently both independently and as part of a team with minimal direction from the manager.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer knowledge including experience with AutoCAD and MS Office suite is required.
