Position Description:

Company is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commissioning, maintaining, and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers’ sites within their respective regional coverage area. This role is vital to ensuring customer satisfaction through technical expertise and timely service delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

Commission, maintain, and provide emergency support for Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems and other power electronics equipment at customer sites.
Deliver technical on-site and phone assistance to customers.
Perform general and preventive maintenance on UPS systems, batteries, PDUs (Power Distribution Units), static automatic transfer switches, and branch circuit monitoring.
Respond promptly to emergency service requests.
Strive to achieve a “first-time fix” for customer equipment issues.
Ensure clear, concise, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Stay updated on safety field change notices and service tips.
Accurately report expenses, field service activities, and technical findings.


Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant field service experience, with the ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
Expertise in equipment such as UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, and static switches.
Technical degree in electronics or equivalent military electronics training preferred.
In-depth knowledge of OHM’s law, electronic theory, and electrical fundamentals.
Experience with 3-phase/480v systems.
Proficiency in using electrical/electronic test equipment.
Ability to interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with UPS OEM systems (Liebert/Vertiv, Emerson, APC/MGE, Eaton/Powerware, Toshiba, Mitsubishi) is a plus.
Competence in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage schedules independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Willingness to travel regionally as required.
