Title: Vice President of Operations Location: Greenwich, CT Schedule: Mon – Fri Days
Compensation: $220k-$240k base salary + ~$30k bonus, first year (Profit Sharing and Spot Performance Bonuses)

Position Description:
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Operations at the company is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics of kidney transportation, managing strategic partnerships with courier vendors, collaborating with the software development team to enhance donor intake systems, and developing key relationships with transplant center liaisons. The VP will also lead the StrongBox initiative and ensure a seamless rollout, monitor and report on the GPS fleet, and provide comprehensive analytics on living donor trends to inform leadership decisions.
This role requires strong operational leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship management to
optimize and enhance company’s logistics and donor programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Kidney Logistics & Key Vendor Management
• Oversee the end-to-end logistics of kidney transportation, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
• Manage courier vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and establish service-level agreements (SLAs) to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Monitor and improve transportation systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Implement GPS tracking systems and provide real-time reporting on kidney shipments.
StrongBox Initiative & GPS Fleet Oversight
• Lead the implementation, scaling, and optimization of the StrongBox initiative for kidney transportation.
• Oversee real-time monitoring of the GPS fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and security.
• Provide regular updates to the Chief Operating Officer on the status of the StrongBox rollout, challenges, and process improvements.
Software Development & Donor Intake Optimization
• Work closely with the software development team to enhance and streamline donor intake systems.
• Identify pain points in the donor intake process and collaborate on technology-driven solutions.
• Ensure that operational logistics data is integrated into digital platforms for real-time tracking and reporting.
Analytics & Reporting on Living Donor Trends
• Oversee the collection and analysis of logistics data, donor trends, and operational performance.
• Provide comprehensive analytics reports on living donor donation trends, transportation efficiency, and system improvements.
• Present findings and recommendations to the Chief Operating Officer, and key stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or other related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, supply chain management, or healthcare administration
o Strong leadership skills are critical – Extreme Ownership and ability to thrive in a fast paced, high demand environment
• Proven experience in organ transplant logistics, medical transportation, or a related healthcare field
• Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and compliance oversight
• Experience working with technology teams to enhance operational processes
• Strong data analytics skills, with experience in reporting on trends and optimizing workflows
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare institutions, transplant centers, and regulatory agencies
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to enhance operational efficiency
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex logistics data into executive-level insights
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in healthcare logistics, organ procurement organizations (OPOs), or transplant networks
• Knowledge of FDA, UNOS, and other regulatory guidelines governing organ transportation
• Familiarity with GPS tracking, AI-driven logistics platforms, and medical courier systems
