• Title: Service and Equipment Field Mechanic
• Location: San Diego, CA
• Shift: Day, 7-4:30 plus OT (24-hour service)
• Travel: None
• Compensation: $30-40 per hour

Position Description: The Service and Equipment Field Mechanic will respond to service and repair needs of customers and the company while also outlining supplies, materials, and tools for field repairs and maintaining the service truck. This position reports to the Branch Service Manager. The service and equipment field mechanic is encouraged to purchase and utilize their own tools; however, company tools can be provided.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the service and equipment field mechanic are to inspect and diagnose heavy equipment issues for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical problems followed by conducting the repair or service. Additional responsibilities are to prepare and complete repair cost estimates, order parts and supplies necessary for work, prepare invoices, follow HAZMAT policies and safety procedures. The position will utilize basic mechanics hand and power tools, industrial forklifts, pressure washers, electronic testing equipment, and more.
Experience: Candidates for this position should have basic mechanical and electrical systems experience, experience with hydraulics and schematics is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a forklift certificate is preferred. This job requires physical activity such as pushing/pulling loads greater than 40lbs, lifting/carrying loads greater than 50lbs, and fine manipulation of the hands.
