Position Description:
Under general supervision, this position will plan, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities for milling, processing, and mining equipment. This includes working with maintenance supervision to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and equipment maintenance standards. The role involves distributing work orders, scheduling fixed, mobile, and electrical personnel, monitoring costs, and ensuring equipment specifications are met. Additionally, this position will oversee compliance with company policies and procedures related to lubrication, repair, and overhaul practices for mine, plant, or mill equipment and machinery. Maintaining records and time reports on equipment maintenance is also part of the responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Distributes work orders and assists maintenance supervision with job coordination.
• Provides cost control monitoring and equipment specification conformity for maintenance activities.
• Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures regarding mine equipment and machinery lubrication, repair, and overhaul practices.
• Maintains ongoing contacts with mine equipment vendors and suppliers regarding equipment, material and parts specifications, and warranties associated with equipment.
• Understands and complies with company, federal, and state safety and environmental regulations and maintains safe work procedures for mine equipment maintenance activities.
• Confers with mine supervision to implement equipment maintenance activities.
• Monitors mine equipment maintenance activities to ensure work progresses according to established procedures.
• Performs observations and analyses of mine equipment maintenance activities, prepares reports, and maintains related data.
• Monitors assigned equipment maintenance tasks' quality, quantity, and completeness.
• Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with mine equipment maintenance assignments.
• Uses CMMS to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance resources. Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations. This includes maintenance and operations staff, materials, documents, work orders, change orders, and necessary approvals to perform work as planned.

• Work will take place in mining and production environments.
• Prolonged sitting, standing, climbing, pulling, and lifting of heavy objects.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push at least 50 lbs.
• Employees will work on uneven surfaces with rock and other debris in the area.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including Steele-toed boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat.
• Continuous mental and visual attention, making set-ups and operating machines, adjusting, checking work, and diagnosing breakdowns.
All applicants must have:
• Experience with MaintainX CMMS software is required.
• Proven experience in managing multiple priorities.
• A demonstrated history of safety leadership.
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Technical/trade school background strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt information and communication style to the audience.
• Skilled at promoting teamwork to establish consensus among team and stakeholders.
• Capable of identifying key issues and patterns in moderately complex situations and spotting new, less obvious solutions.
• 3-5 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be an accurate and detail-oriented team player.
• General understanding of maintenance procedures, techniques, and systems.
• Verifiable computer skills and experience with inventory management are preferred.
• Familiar with mining methodology and practices.
