Field Service Technician
Location: Louisiana / Alabama / Mississippi (within 1-1.5 hours from an airport)
Shift: Monday–Friday, with revolving on-call weekends (schedules provided annually)
Compensation: $28–$30/hr + $620/month vehicle stipend (company covers gas and vehicle services for personal and business use) + $150/day when on call

Travel: 85% (Monday–Friday travel unless scheduled for on-call; average 3–4 days traveling per week)

Position Overview:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites to install, service, and repair food processing machinery. This role requires strong technical expertise to troubleshoot complex installations, provide guidance on Handtmann technologies, and generate detailed technical reports on testing results.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to customer sites for installation, service, and repairs of food processing equipment.
Apply deep technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex machinery issues.
Assist with the testing and implementation of Handtmann technologies.
Read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and manuals to determine work procedures.
Provide technical reports and documentation regarding testing results.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical and electrical background (electrical expertise preferred).
Knowledge or experience with pneumatic, hydraulic power, or control systems is a plus.
Strong active listening, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to assess alternative solutions and determine the best approach to troubleshooting.
