• Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician
• Job Location: St. Louis, Missouri
• Reports to: Maintenance Manager
• Status: Non-Exempt
• Department: Maintenance
• Compensation: $35/hr
• Shift: typically days (but can vary) (1 opening)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains electrical and industrial equipment, identifies electrical problems, performs instrumentation calibrations, and assists with PLC troubleshooting. This technician is expected to be an electrical subject matter expert on site and assists maintenance leadership executing the preventative maintenance strategy. Maintenance of mechanical systems is also required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/mechanical issues.
• Maintains, replaces, and diagnoses all instrument/electrical components in and around the manufacturing
site
• Performs vibration data collection and analysis of equipment, keeps historical and updated database for all
vibration data, and reports any inconsistencies to Management and update CMMS
• Performs balancing of plant equipment, keeps historical and updated database for all balancing, and reports
and inconsistencies to Management and update CMMS
• Performs UT inspections of equipment and maintains UT database.
• Performs thermography inspections of equipment.
• Performs maintenance technician duties as required
• Installs and repairs various mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial setting
• Uses predictive tools and equipment in troubleshooting and repair processes.
• Ability to perform alignment of equipment i.e. shaft, bearing, motors.
• Stays informed of with all safety policies, guidelines, and procedures at all times
• Trains and mentors other technicians
• Backfills for Maintenance Supervisor when necessary and serve in a leadership capacity on assigned tasks.
• Addresses and/or responds to all safety hazards, near misses and work-related incidents immediately
• Offers suggestions and supports in efforts to improve the safety culture of the company.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools, torches, and welding equipment, pneumatic and/or electric tools and
precision measuring tools to make repairs or replace equipment
• Rotating Equipment experience (rotary kiln, granulator, etc.) preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic equipment and instrumentation to
make appropriate repairs, calibration, recommendation and or replacement
• Ability to safely move in and through work areas, including climbing stairs, maintaining good balance,
being mentally alert, having good visual acuity and safety working at heights
• Ability to safety work in and around heavy industrial environment, including moving objects, concentrated
chemicals, and transport vehicles
