Position Details:
Title: Boiler and Combustion Specialist – Level I
Location: Hoover, AL
Shift: Office Hours 8am to 5pm with field work dependent on time of year and client needs.
Compensation: $25-$38

Travel : Travel both in and outside of the United States. First year being inside the United States based on client job sites.
Position Description:
The Boiler and Combustion Technician would collaborate with engineers and other technicians, performing a variety of field tests using specialized instruments to measure airflow, coal flow, flue gas species, and other parameters on large utility boilers. In addition, the individual may be required to perform lab/analytical tasks such as sieving coal samples and entering and checking test data, equipment maintenance, preparing for field service jobs, and other duties while in the Alabaster warehouse. Extensive travel is required, with a minimum of 50% of the total time spent in the field.
Requirements:
• Minimum education requirements of an Associate’s degree, a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent technical training gained through military service and/or work experience
• Strong technical, mechanical, and computer skills (proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong math skills for analysis of field-testing data
• Experience working in a power plant or similar environment is a plus
• Hobbies that show technical inclination are also a plus
• Excellent physical condition and willing to work in physically demanding environments (high temperatures, loud, dusty, etc.)
• Available to travel extensively throughout the United States and abroad (up to 50% of the time)
• Valid Driver’s license clean driving record: NO tickets, NO accidents.
