Title: Electrical Assembly Lead Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Shift: Mon-Thurs, 10-hour shifts + Friday overtime as needed
Travel: None
Compensation: $35-40 per hour

Position Description: The Electrical Assembly Lead Technician will work with various electrical and mechanical components to test, troubleshoot, and repair cable and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role will evaluate cable assembly electrical and physical characteristics, develop procedures for the manufacture and test of cable assemblies, perform basic programming skills for panel meters, and complete final inspections to maintain quality. The Technician will also work with building wire harnesses and break down complex drawings into sub-assemblies and prepare it for an operator.

Experience: The candidate for this role should have 3-5 years’ experience of soldering, understand complex electronic drawings/schematics and BOMs, be proficient in the use of crimp/hand tools related to cable/harnesses, have experience with resistance and Hipot testing, and be familiar with Ohm’s law. Experience with building wire harnesses and reading schematics related to cable and electro-mechanical assemblies is a necessity to do this job successfully. They should also be an organized problem solver, have experience with automated equipment, and be able to work alongside other technicians. Experience managing a team, working with Cirris Tester, and a J-Std-001 certification are a plus.
