Position Details
Location: Central NY (remote role)
Compensation: Target base salary ~$120K - $160K
• Bonuses/Additional Compensation: annual performance bonus up to 20% (based on a variety of performance factors); relocation assistance/sign-on bonus available on a case-by-case basis
Schedule/Travel: The vast majority of sites are located in central / eastern New York (Syracuse / Ithaca / Binghamton / Albany); you can expect occasional travel (typically around 25%) to prospective client sites in the region, with overnights being minimal (depending on where within the region you reside).

Position Description
As a Project Delivery Consultant, you will be responsible for project estimating and design, throughout the sales process from inception through contract signature for the project portfolio within the Upstate / Central New York Area team working directly for the Development Manager of that area. These projects are generally in the $5M - $50M range and are focused on full facility energy efficiency retrofits (municipal, higher education, K-12, commercial, etc.); you can expect to be involved with, on average, up to ten projects simultaneously. You will determine resource levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels to ensure conformance with the construction delivery plan, while also managing change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work in partnership with assigned Construction managers.
You will be responsible for the final negotiated SOV (Schedule of Values) that will determine billing and payment terms with the customer. You will strategize and collaborate with the Sales team to fully understand all technical aspects of project requirements (heating, cooling, lighting, controls, fuel cells, co-gen, etc.) and provide compelling data to influence prospective clients to engage company services. You will take ownership of the development of the project execution plan, project schedule, and project budget and represent these factors to the customer as needed by the Development Manager during the pursuits. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong customer and subcontractor relationships. Some other expectations include:
• Be actively involved in the local contracting community, industry organizations and networks with local subcontractors.
• Responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction for projects during the Development and turnover to Delivery phases.
• Assist the SI Delivery Manager to effectively plan for future resource needs and assist in allocating resource needs to meet near term commitments.
• Assess development needs and work with the SI Delivery Manager to assign Construction Managers, as needed, to provide sales support activities early in the audit process to provide input on vendor/partners selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment, etc.
• Act as consultant to Construction Manager during the installation phase regarding design intent during development.
• Self-perform cost estimating, project scheduling and construction management of projects secured by the area team where applicable.
• Develop billing and payment schedule and assist in negotiating most favorable terms.
• Determine the duration construction resources will be assigned to the projects by developing a preliminary project schedule in MS project or similar.
• Establish customer touch points throughout the life cycle of projects to gain feedback on customer satisfaction. Communicate customer feedback to broader development and delivery teams when received.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements.
• Ensure the Sustainable Infrastructure (SI) business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.
• Assist Development Manager and team in ensuring project is set up correctly in MyWork including document storage and team assignments.

Position Requirements
• At least ten years of progressively more responsible Operations Management experience in the MEP HVAC Industry - with a preference for energy solutions / efficiency - including five or more years of direct management experience.
• Able to lead and direct cross-functional and cross-business unit project teams to achieve business results.
• Strong competency using risk assessment, scheduling, RFP and other Project Management tools (such as Pipeline Suite).
• Polished presentation skills.
• Be a multi-faceted thinker and innovator.
• Strong ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence.
