Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $39-41/hr.

Travel: High Travel role (50-70%)
Training in Connecticut for 3 weeks, required, potentially additional training in Montreal later.
Travel to cover all of California, will eventually include Denver, CO and possibly into Canada post expansion of (timeline: within 12 months for CO and potentially 18 months for Canada.)

Position Details:
This job description for the Field Service Technician position outlines the requirements, skills, and technical knowledge needed to successfully, analyze, test, troubleshoot, repair/replace, and rebuild all mechanical and electrical components with minor electrical/electronic knowledge required for the position. The goal of the position is to repair and maintain all customer-installed RVM equipment and related peripherals related to the RVM’s. Field Technicians are the front-line representatives of the Company to our customers, so World Class Customer Service is essential.

Responsibilities:
· Analyze and resolve reverse vending machine malfunctions located at customer locations.
· Maintain reverse vending machines in proper mechanical and electrical working order per company provided guidelines and training.
· Troubleshoot and repair/replace all types of electro-mechanical equipment and their components including motors, fuses, circuits, contactors, sensing switches and devices, control wiring and transformers. Repair and replace failed lighting circuits and components.
· Remove and reinstall sorters, compactors, tranrots, printers, sensors, wiring harnesses, door locks and safety switches, belts, drives, gears and pulleys.
· Use chain falls, coma longs, hoists, and lift carts to safely move equipment and parts or components for installation or replacement.
· Maintain good customer relations with store managers and their delegates. Establish and maintain progressive relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction with services rendered.
· Safely operate a Full-Size Cargo van for extended periods and effectively navigate to and from customer locations throughout their shift.
· Maintain company vehicles in good working order. Follow the designated vehicle maintenance plan.
· Maintain accurate and complete van parts inventory.
· Maintain accurate and complete electronic service reports and other required documentation on customer service visits, repairs and supply deliveries.
· Machine cleaning for non-union locations.
· Follow all company rules and regulations

Education:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical field service or an equivalent field.

Qualifications:
Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
Proficient in using multi-meters for testing electrical points.
Basic operational knowledge of computers, including email and Excel.
Effective communication skills with management, Call Center, and customers at remote sites.
Ability to take measurements and perform calculations for repairs to RVMs and their components.
Proficient in applying basic mathematical calculations to assess machine performance.
Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
Ability to reflect on and improve work quality based on feedback and process reviews.

Requirements:
Must possess or be able to obtain a passport immediately.
Valid driver’s license required.
